EXCLUSIVE
Mesha was born Nov 9, 1981, in Atlanta GA.  I began performing around the Atlanta area at the age of five doing local talent shows and TV appearances.  At the age of 16, I attended Southwest Dekalb High school in Decatur Ga was I was a member of the (Drum Line imitated) Dancing Divas and crowned Miss Sophomore.  In 1999, I appeared vocally on Krazie Bone’s (of the group Bone Thugs –N- Harmony) first 2x platinum album “ Thug Mentality”. During this period I was able to go on my first nationwide tour doing shows from Miami to California. I am currently attending Tennessee State University with a major in Mass Communication. I won a rap battle on BET’S “ Hits from the streets” on campus in 2001. I love to perform and have over 350 shows under my belt. In October 2003, I appeared in Blender Magazine as a model with famed rap star Luducris.  I was featured on Pastor Troy’s latest DSGB album released December 2003 under my DSGG alias Delilah. My style is new, young, streets and very universal. I love what I do and have now started my own record label  “ Streets  Kredit”. I’m goal oriented, creative, focused and in the process of developing an establishment entitled Prima Dawnna Inc that will fulfill everyone’s entertainment needs whether your in the fields of music, fashions, food, sports, or movies. I bring something fresh to the industry that has never been done. Be on the look out for MESHA…the mix cd, the album, the life.

Princess of the Underground

Question: What advice would you give to the up and coming young ladies that want to
become a rapper?
Answer: Play hard but respect yourself. Stay focused and give God the glory.

Question: How old were you, when you knew you wanted to rap?
Answer: Age 9, during the Run DMC and Salt-N-Pepper era.
Question: 3.Whom inspired you most while growing up and listening to rap music.
Answer: My life inspired me the most, and Tupac.

Question: At what point did you realize you had found your character in the world of rap?
Answer:
When I went to college in 2000 (TSU).
Question: Are your friends and family very supportive of you and/or do you have
a lot of  haters that don’t wanna see you make it?
Answer: Right now everyone seems very supportive, but I know how to distinguish
the real from the fake.
Questions: While you were growing up in school did you have your head in the books
or were you more into guys.

now or in the near future.
Answer: Outkast, Sade, Dr. Dre.
Question: After the outcome of your release album, are you going to branch off
into a different direction within the industry [ movies, clothing line ect.].
Answer: Yes, I’ve started a purse line and a clothing company will soon
follow.  I’m in love with fashion. I model as well. I was recently featured
in the October issue of Blender Magazine with Ludicris. There are
several other industries such as sports, foods, and movies that I’m planning
for now. But you won’t know about it until it’s right. Never will I half
do anything.

Question: What do you think your contribution to music will be?
Answer: Definitely a trendsetter. Personally I feel that the female rappers
out of the south are not representing the music industry to it’s full potential.
They’re not getting the mass media exposure … whatever, but I’m about to
show’em how to do it. I’m not anyone’s hater; I’m your motivator.
My style speaks for its self.
